2006 Watkins Alumni Award

The 2006 WATKINS Alumni of the Year Award.

UCLA's Marcedes Lewis was presented with the Watkins Alumni of the Year Award. Marcedes was recognized

for his outstanding achievements in the community and as a positive, education-focused role model who exemplifies

the qualities of Watkins Alumni. Presented by the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Alliance of African American Athletes.

Marcedes Lewis said “ I appreciate this award and I will continue to do my best to be a positive role model by what I do, more than what I say.”

Marcedes also won the John Mackey Award as the best tight end in America.
