JB Awards

 Annually a select few NFL players will be featured in the “JB Awards Television Special,” a one-hour television show that offers exclusive in-depth interviews of the JB Award recipients honored this past April at the NFL Players Gridiron Gala, in Washington, D.C. For the third consecutive year, the NFL Players Association and PLAYERS INC have partnered with James Brown, who is returning to CBS Sports as host of “THE NFL TODAY,” to create this television special.

Darnell Dinkins,  Cleveland Browns, Watkins Award Winner from 1995 wins the NFL Leadership Award. 

 Darnell has been selected as a recipient of a JB Award, an honor bestowed upon a handful of active NFL players.  As a winner of this prestigious award, you are automatically a finalist for the Byron “Whizzer” White Award, presented annually at the NFL Players Gridiron Gala in Washington, DC.  The Gala, a partnership between the NFLPA, Players Inc and James Brown of CBS Sports’ “The NFL Today,” recognizes NFL players who exemplify leadership, dedication and commitment to team and community.  You will be honored for your achievements at this year’s Gala on April 12, 2007, at the Washington Hilton in Washington, DC
